今回ご紹介するプレミアムなギターは、２００１年に発表されたMartin 000-42ECBである。エリック・クラプトンの直筆サイン入りシグネーチャーとしては１９９５年の000-42EC以来２台目となるこの１台は、トップにプレミアム・グレードのイングルマン・スプルース、バックとサイドに、これもプレミアム・グレードのハカランダを使った２００台限定のモデルである。豪華絢爛なこのギターをそのまま紹介するだけでなく、今回は、逆に、シンプルの極みともいうべき１９２９年製のGibson L-0との比較を行ってみる。
